39 – Hullo Again

The last frame is based on Fuseli’s The Nightmare, a painting that gives me the creeps and then some.

This strip has a cliffhanger ending (so I tried, anyway) and pushes the storyline forward, but there is no punchline as such. I’d like to know whether that is something you enjoy or dislike. What do you say?
